One day in Saint Emilion
10 a.m.: Tasting Introduction class in the Saint-Emilion wine house.
A wine expert will introduce you the art of wine-tasting for one hour: sensory analysis (description of visual and olfactory sensations) and tasting of two local wines.
11.30 a.m.: Visit and “Casse-Croûte vigneron” in a wine estate
Departure for a family estate of Saint-Emilion. The winemaker will welcome you and make you visit his exploitation: vines, cellar, winery. He also allows you to discover the different steps of the Saint-Emilion wine making. Then, share a friendly "Casse-Croûte" lunch with him, including 3 wines of the estate.
3.30 p.m.: Tour in the Saint Emilion vineyards
For a one hour vineyard tour, your guide will make you discover the landscapes listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. You will enjoy the outstandingly vine-covered Saint-Emilion countryside.
One day in Graves and Sauternes
10 a.m.: Visit and tasting in AOC Graves
Graves « terroir » is made of pebbles, stones, gravels, sand left by the river Garonne. The wine producer will introduce his “terroir” and his work passion. You will visit the fermentation and winemaking cellars, before a wine tasting from the estate.
12 a.m.: Lunch in a local restaurant
Lunch with products from the « terroir » in a traditional and local restaurant.
2 p.m.: 1855 Sauternes & Barsac classified Grands Crus
With a guide from the tourist office, you will travel around the main 1855 Sauternes & Barsac classified grands Crus. Local history, « terroir », anecdotes, vineyards great families, wine merchants from Bordeaux will be presented.
